This is called Ragnarok. Ragnarok literally means "Doom of the Gods" or "Twilight of the Gods". In fact, not only is it the end of the world, it is the end of the very cosmos. Before you lies an article explaining it all in detail.
Ragnarok
by Micha F. Lindemans
Ragnarok ("Doom of the Gods"), also called Gotterdammerung, means the end of the cosmos in Norse mythology. It will be preceded by Fimbulvetr, the winter of winters. Three such winters will follow each other with no summers in between. Conflicts and feuds will break out, even between families, and all morality will disappear. This is the beginning of the end.The wolf Skoll will finally devour the sun, and his brother Hati will eat the moon, plunging the earth [into] darkness. The stars will vanish from thesky. The cock Fjalar will crow to the giants and the golden cock Gullinkambi will crow to the gods. A third cock will raise the dead.
The earth will shudder with earthquakes, and every bond and fetter will burst, freeing the terrible wolf Fenrir. The sea will rear up becauseJormungand, the Midgard Serpent, is twisting and writhing in fury as he makes his way toward the land. With every breath, Jormungand will stain the soil and the sky with his poison. The waves caused by the serpent's emerging will set free the ship Naglfar, and with the giant Hymir as their commander, the giants will sail towards the battlefield. From the realm of the dead a second ship will set sail, and this ship carries the inhabitants of hell, with Loki as their helmsman. The fire giants, led by the giant Surt, will leave Muspell in the south to join against the gods. Surt, carrying asword that blazes like the sun itself, will scorch the earth.
Meanwhile, Heimdall will sound his horn, calling the sons of Odin and the heroes to the battlefield. From all the corners of the world, gods, giants, dwarves, demons and elves will ride towards the huge plain of Vigrid ("battle shaker") where the last battle will be fought. Odin will engage Fenrir in battle, and Thor will attack Jormungand. Thor will victorious, but the serpent's poison will gradually kill the god of thunder. Surt will seek out the swordless Freyr, who will quickly succumb to the giant. The one-handed Tyr will fight the monstrous hound Garm and they will kill each other. Loki and Heimdall, age-old enemies, will meet for a final time, and neither will survive their encounter. The fight between Odin and Fenrir will rage for a long time, but finally Fenrir will seize Odin and swallow him. Odin's son Vidar will at once leap towards the wolf and kill him with his bare hands, ripping the wolf's jaws apart.
Then Surt will fling fire in every direction. The nine worlds will burn, and friends and foes alike will perish. The earth will sink into the sea.
After the destruction, a new and idyllic world will arise from the sea and will be filled with abundant supplies. Some of the gods will survive, others will be reborn. Wickedness and misery will no longer exist and gods and men will live happily together. The descendants of Lif and Lifthrasir will inhabit this earth.

My purpose here is to string the threads of fate together to make a web of synchronicity. The synchronicity that which is of the timeless truth.
If you don't get my gist yet, what I'm saying is the "Doom of the Gods" is actually not unheard of, or new. Across Hindu scripture, Native American narrative, Mayan prophecy, the Torah, the Bible, and even the Noble Qu'ran, you will find something similar. I'm not saying it's all the same...but every religion, virtually, speaks of the end of days in an eerily familiar fashion.
Now let's connect those dots. I will fill in each blank space with my own interpretation.
Listen up, because coincidence means "the act of coinciding" thus nothing is accident. I don't know about you, but I think everything might be connected. All past religions, faiths, and science.
Bear in mind, these are my own theories, and so whatever fault is of my own, and whatever truth is of the truth of God.
Gotterdammerung
The doom of the gods is similar to what is called Yawmal Qiyamat in Islam. That is the Day of Resurrection, Day of Judgement, Day of Requital, Overwhelming Event, etc. It is reflected in Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, and every religion I can think of. Any way, three winters precede is similar to what in Islam is said that there will be a time when there will be no day, but just night for a long time. The Prophet of Allah (Peace be upon him) said near the end of days, morality will disappear, and there will be killing, much like in the Ragnarok. "The wolf Skol will eat the sun" again, as I said, there will be darkness. If you don't believe me, let me read you the first few verses of the 81st chapter of the Noble Qu'ran, called "The Wrapping Up".
"When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness]
And when the stars fall, dispersing,
And when the mountains are removed
And when full-term she-camels are neg
And when the wild beasts are gathered
And when the seas are filled with flame
And when the souls are paired
And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked
For what sin she was killed
And when the pages are made public
And when the sky is stripped away
And when Hellfire is set ablaze
And when Paradise is brought near,
A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it].
So I swear by the retreating stars -
Those that run [their courses] and disappear -
And by the night as it closes in
And by the dawn when it breathes
[That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger
[Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position],
Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy.
And your companion is not [at all] mad.
And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon.
Sahih International
And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen.
And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens].
So where are you going?
It is not except a reminder to the worlds
For whoever wills among you to take a right course.
And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds."
(Qu'ran 82)
Already we see that the sun will be wrapped up! Kind of like how it is said Skol will devour the sun, eh??
"And when the stars fall, dispersing,"
I don't know about you, but I'm having an epiphany attack here!! As mentioned in Ragnarok, stars will disappear, which is mentioned numerous times in the Qu'ran.
Okay. Here's the crazy part. You ready?? When it's said three cocks will crow, and the last will bring back the dead...well here's the game winner. According to Islam, and I think in at least the Abrahamic religions, at the Day of Judgement, a horn will be blown by an angel, so loud it will be heard around the world. A second horn will blow, wiping out all life on Earth. Here's the kicker. A third horn will be blown, bringing all life back and making them stand erect in their graves. Read the Qu'ran and research for yourself.
Natural Disasters and The Beasts
"The earth will shudder with earthquakes, and every bond and fetter will burst, freeing the terrible wolf Fenrir." Well what do you know, earthquakes near the end of the world...if you're not taken by now, you should probably stop reading. Ignorant minds are not welcome here.
Just kidding. I welcome everyone to read and heed the message and judge for yourself. But anyway, earthquakes; near the end of days, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said there will "Sinking of the earth at three places, East, West, and Arabian Gulf", in other words three earthquakes, which is mentioned in the Qu'ran as well. Again, if you don't believe me, read the chapter titled: "The Earthquake".
The Seprent Midgar will come from the sea; much like how in Surah Takweer it is mentioned the sea will be like flames. This part gives me goosebumps, if none of this already has: The beast Fenrir is very similar to the "Beast" that will come near the end of days. The Anti-Christ. The Dragon. Satan. In Islam, his name is the Dajjal.
Along with the Dajjal, two beasts will arise, named Gog and Magog, mentioned in all Abrahamic religions.
The Last Battle
"Meanwhile, Heimdall will sound his horn, calling the sons of Odin and the heroes to the battlefield. From all the corners of the world, gods, giants, dwarves, demons and elves will ride towards the huge plain of Vigrid ("battle shaker") where the last battle will be fought. Odin will engage Fenrir in battle, and Thor will attack Jormungand."
Okay, hold the phone!!!! I'm having as much of a spaz attack as you might be right now!! So Odin is said to be a great warrior. Also similar in description with Horus. And a Hindu god I can't think of right now (Krishna..???) AndJesus. Not only is he said to come back near the Day of Judgement in Christianity, but yes, you said it, he is supposed to return according to Islam. Jesus is a very important and noble prophet in Islam by the way, and he never died; God took him up before the Jews could crucify him.
The reason why this is even more amazing is because of Thor. So from all the corners of the world beings will come towards the battlefield. Such as, religious people of all races, places, and creed. So finally Odin fights Fenrir, and Thor fights Jornungand.
In Islam, another righteous figure is to arise, called Imam Mahdi. He is prophesized by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to come as a leader, reformer, and just ruler before the arrival of Jesus, not necessarily a prophet but I guess, similar. And if I'm correct, he is to destroy Gog and Magog, but don't take my word on that.
So in conclusion, Odin (possibly Jesus..??) defeats Fenrir (Dajjal!?), whilst Thor (Imam Mahdi!?!!?) defeats Jornungand (Gog and Magog!!!!?).
The Aftermath, and possible....The Afterlife
So finally after all is said and done, the battle will be over and Odin will have won. Although in the Norse mythology it's said that Fenrir swallow Odin, but his son will at once rip open its jaws and save him! So, like said in Islam, I think it's saying he will survive, which he will indeed.
After that, there will be a period of peace. That is stated in the Islamic prophecies as well. But in the Norse mythology, when it says friend and foe alike will perish and the Earth will sink into the sea and the nine world will burn...it reminds me of something. Of what's said in Islam: that when all is said and done, everything, EVERY SINGLE THING will perish---except the Perfect Face of God. The people, the stars, the Earth. Eternity is at wait and possible, this last part in the mythology, is what is known as, well, you guessed it: Eternal Heaven.
So all in all, I have shown the synchronicities. Connect the wires if you will, but know that this is all assumption and God knows best. What lies before us though is indeed either the eternal bliss of Heaven of the eternal chastisement of Hell, and what is said in Islam is truth, and what the Messenger of God and book of God says is indeed complete and irrefutable truth.
"And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens].
So where are you going?
It is not except a reminder to the worlds
For whoever wills among you to take a right course.
And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds." (Qu'ran 81:26-29)
Follow Islam, and you will taste the eternal delights of Paradise, God willing.
And God knows best.
