Within every snowflake is an intricate design. The ice particles materialize into the most unique designs. But what’s really unique about these snowflakes? What is unique is creativity. What is meant by creativity is that every single snowflake is different. No two snowflakes thus will ever be the same! The uniqueness of nature can be found everywhere. Imagine how many trillions of icicles of snow fall. Not trillions; perhaps google amount of snow. In the whole of history, it could be possible google number of snow have fallen (google means one with a million zeros after it), and will fall. The scarily beautiful thing about it though is that every single one of those snowflakes is different. Imagine, google snowflakes that are all different! Have you not seen proof, yet?
Is that not enough proof for you to see that indeed, there is a God? That’s far more than enough proof. How can any being in existence create a google number of different types of the same exact thing!?!?! That’s physically impossible!!! In the creation of Allah (God in Arabic) are your beautiful proofs.
27] Seest thou not that Allah sends down rain from the sky? With it We then bring out produce of various colors. And in the mountains are tracts white and red, of various shades of color, and black intense in hue.
28] And so amongst men and crawling creatures and cattle, are they of various colors. Those truly fear Allah, among His Servants, who have knowledge: for Allah is Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving. (Qu’ran 35:27-28)
In every animal you will see a difference, regardless of race, species, or gender. Regardless of how literally alike each animal is in its own species and race, you will see some difference. You’ll see it in every ant. You’ll see it in every fly. You’ll see it in every creature. Can you imagine that? A difference within the same!? No one thing is ever the same!
An old friend of mine and I one day came across an idea. It birthed this creative idea as well, that no one thing is the same. And it is that every person is different. And one of those signs is…in the laughs of people. It is that every person has a unique laugh. No one person have I come across that had the same laugh, they are all strange, unique, and interesting. Nevertheless, they always feel good. A person may have a throaty laugh. Another person may have a quick laugh. Another person still may have a laugh where they annunciate the “ha ha ha”’s in it. People have a certain rhythm to their laughs. Some laugh at the strangest moments. Others’ laughs are quiet, like their laughs are muted, but they are laughing nonetheless. Not only is everyone’s laugh different, but have you ever seen the same exact two people?
Sure, we have twins. But even they have the minute of differences. And beyond that, is the personality of every individual. Every individual has an extremely unique personality, and never is exactly the same as another. That’s why it’s always exciting to meet people, because they have something for surprise since you don’t know how they might act later. For the most part, this is good!
Don’t you find that some people find amusement in the weirdest things? And again some people are effervescent, jumpy, and always full of life. Some people are into very exciting things. Some call them daredevils. There are people are very reserved, and calm, and collected, just like water. Other people are very simple. You can see people who are stern and upright. Then there are people who are orators, confident in crowds. Others still can lead a country. There are people who are friendly and warm. Some people are just naturally funny. And even still are people who can’t keep their mouths shut.
The way we speak is another creative sign. We speak in different intonations, emphases, and volumes. Even the structuring of speak is unique. Even more is what exactly we say. One might say the weirdest thing in the middle of a conversation. Another might say a very friendly thing to a friend. Another might say very flowery language.
“And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the variations in your languages and your colors; verily in that are Signs for those who know.” (Qu’ran 30:22)
The Earth’s creation is something that no one being in existence can do. That is, other than Allah. Indeed, He created the earth and the heavens, which are the most amazing of creations. Look at the sky, do you see any imperfection? I’m talking about the heavens, the space beyond Earth, the stars that adorn it; how beautiful is that? You see no breaks, but beautiful blazing lamps of fire that are unimaginably times greater than us. To go anywhere near it would be immediate death. Surely, that’s enough proof there is a God. Without the one of trillions of stars out there, we wouldn’t be alive. And it’s placed a perfect distance from us to harbor us life. None of us could create any of those celestial behemoths. That would be far beyond impossible.
“What! Are ye the more difficult to create or the heaven (above)? (God) hath constructed it:
On high hath He raised its canopy, and He hath given it order and perfection.
Its night doth He endow with darkness, and its splendour doth He bring out (with light).” (Qu’ran 79:27-29)
Creativity possibly comes from intelligence. And the All-Knowing One surely then is the Creator of all as well. He created the heavens and the earth, things which are extremely creative. Our minds can feign wrap around their creation, not to mention our own.
Let’s take this one step further. When we see in creation uniqueness, there’s another factor to creation itself; time. Moments fly by like nothing, they have almost no measure. Because they are indefinitely small, they know no limit. But the key to every moment is one: change. Every moment changes, and progress. Did you ever think for one moment, that no single moment is the same…? Do you realize, that every moment is perfectly changing? No matter how many times you might do the same thing, the moments are never all the same. This is clear in nature, in life, and in existence. Nothing is constant. Everything is perpetually changing.
“And He it is Who originates the creation, then He will repeat it; and this is easier for Him.” (Qu’ran 30:27)
Take for example a boiling pot of water. Do this experiment at home once. Look at the boiling water while it boils. One question will arise after doing this experiment: did I never stop to think about this once?
When you look at the popping bubbles, you will see something unique. And that is that every bubble that pops does so differently. Every shape, every burst, every size will be different, never the same! All the bubbles will burst, perhaps near the same place, but it will change in location, shape, and form every time! You’ll realize that every moment is thus different. Thus is the paradox of creative moments. There is uniformity simultaneously creativity.
Similarly, we as humans should do the same. We should never act the same in a given moment. Keep the good, and discard the bad. We’re not perfect. We have things to work on, so we should try to change every single moment. We should try to implement creativity in every moment. We should progress, emanating creativity because we don’t let the same thing happen twice in the same manner. We adjust. That’s the way of the true believers.
“The believer is not stung from the same hole twice.” –Prophet Muhammad (SWS)
Whether it means breaking out of a routine schedule, eating new food, finding new activities, or meeting new people, creativity should be implemented in every moment. To write the very words in front of you takes creativity. This is because you have to muster up the ability in your brain to formulate words and sentence structure whilst simultaneously conveying a deep message with intricateness to really entice the reader.
Choices are the subject of creativity. Time is the catalyst. When a time comes when you have to make a new type of decision, one uses creativity to progress. Conversely, falling into the same pattern and expecting different results is the definition of insanity. When one finds creativity though, he finds a new light in life. He sees things in vivid color and high definition. He appreciates the small things. Food tastes better. People are more interesting. Everything seen with his very eyes is beautiful.
So cherish the moments, and be creative with them. Every day is a battle, and fight with a new breath of life each time. Inspire, expire, and respire. Every moment is changing, so change with them. You are subject to the moments, and virtually everything else is subject to you.
And know there is one constant within all of this. And that is the true Creator. He is the one we will return to, and to him we belong.
So look to the beautiful colors of life. They move, they change, they vary. And you should move along with them. You don’t want to be left behind, do you?
When a new beast appears in your soul’s fray, use your creative power to master it. That beast might come in the form of the pursuit of a job, the pursuit of a friend, or the pursuit of oneself. Don’t depend on the external, depend on Allah. He will bestow you with creativity as long as you ask him.
Don’t be mundane. Be vivacious. Be renascent. Be effervescent. Love life. And cherish every single creative moment…you can be creative too!
“And the things on this earth which He has multiplied in varying colors (and qualities): verily in this a Sign for men who celebrate the praises of Allah (in gratitude)”. (Qu’ran 16:13)
